The Sharks 2nds gave it their all in the JCL2 Grand Final on Saturday but the Tigers were simply a bit better and deserve their 2015 crown. Great game played in a great spirit. Report soon. [Anton]
Apologies for our extended hiatus in maintenance land but some big jobs needed doing to fix our hackability issues. Many, many thanks to Adit for putting in the hours doing all the technical work in the background. We celebrate our return with a report of our loss/win over Paddies 2nds. [Anton]
Get your whites out again 2s! Paddys fielded an ineligible team with 3 1st XI regulars in the Semis and have been disqualified. Sharks go through to the finals. It’s a shame but rules are rules. Details and sign up soon. [Anton]
Due to the recent flooding in the Sano area, Sano 3 has been rendered unplayable for this weekend’s Semi Final against Wombats. It will now be played on Sunday 20th September. Expect an email from the boss and new sign up in the Forum soon. [Anton]
The numbers have been updated to include all games through August. Movers and Shakers: Skipper Dhugal reclaims top spot for the 1sts and the T20s with the bat while PG is top bowler for the 1st XI. Vicky and Viv are neck and neck at the top in the T20 bowling ratings. Great stuff gents! [Anton]
For the 3rd year in a row, the Chiba Sharks have qualified for the Japan Cup National Finals in October. It takes a lotof work to organise so please show your availability for the 3 days and hotel requirements in the Forum ASAP. [Anton]
A great 2015 season for the reinvigorated 2nd XI came to an end with a loss in the Semi to big hitting Paddys. Plenty to build on for next term though with more talented youth coming through. Exciting times in Chiba! [Anton]
The 2015 Stats page is now up and can be reached from the Statistics menu above. No surprises so far. Top Bats – The Huss, Davo and Doogs. Top Bowlers – Vicky, Sankar and …surely some mistake… KB? I’ll check my numbers. [Anton]
The Sharks 1st XI put in another convincing performance on Saturday, beating Paddy Foleys by a wide margin. Lots of good individual performances but the result was achieved through a true team effort. Report soon. [Anton]
