A bumpy season so far sees the Sharks finish July in some style with a comprehensive victory over arch rivals the Tokyo Wombats in JCL1. Doogs starred with the bat with an epic century. Well done all. [Anton]

Our season opened with a high scoring loss in the Japan Cup to Rising Stars. Tanmoy and Atiq dominated with the bat but a little bit of rust and a shedload of wides made the chase easier for the Stars. Many positives though including 5 new players on show. [Anton]
No less than 15 Sharks of various vintages took advantage of the excellent facilities at Akai Farm to bat and bowl a few cobwebs away. Lots of quality on display; Freddy’s pace bowling, Hiro’s sharp batting, Anton’s splendid belly. Good prospects for the coming season. [Anton]
Dave and Anton attended the 2022 JCL meeting today and the season is set to start on April 2nd/3rd (1st XIs) and 9th/10th (2nd XIs). There are a couple of new teams; Kawasaki and Titans and a few tweaks to the penalty rules to. Highlights coming soon. [Anton]
20 odd Sharks assembled at KBs place (with the big windows all open of course) to celebrate a fantastic season. Big winners were Asanka and Ibby who picked a bagful of trophies each, and yours truly was made a Life Member! Great to see everyone again. [Anton]
The Sharks 1st XI swept aside the Tokyo falcons on a tricky turf wicket at SICG to claim the 2021 JCL1 Championship. Batting first, Sharks found the going tough but not as tough as Falcons! Great win guys [Anton]
The Covid situation has finally calmed down sufficiently for cricketers across Kanto to get back on the field! We start off this Saturday 16 Oct with 2 Japan Cup matches! [Neel]
Many thanks to young guns Ashley Thurgate and Neel Date for taking care of our first umpiring commitment this term. They are overseeing Tigers vs Falcons in JCL3 at Sano 3. The complete Umpiring Schedule will be posted soon. [Anton]
Both Sharks teams kicked off their campaigns over the weekend in wonderful April weather amid a backdrop of sakura trees. Both teams are yet to get a win on the board, but took plenty of positives from the opening day and are confident we will get better as the season moves ahead. [Neel]
A very hisashiburi return to the Akai nets allowed a handful of of Sharks to clear the cobwebs with a solid 3 hour session. Highlights included Ajeet’s very tidy batting, Marcus’ bullet tweakers and Hamid’s seam up assortment. Best of the lot – Seeing Dave back in Sharks kit. [Anton]
