Pitch Report: An indoor centre used for both practice sessions and the Wuki Wuki League. It is essentially a tennis venue with concrete floors overlaid with a green felt surface, threadbare in places due to both the cricket and futsal that go on there. Only indoor cricket balls are used here and the bounce and pace of the pitch is true and very even. Not much of a run up for fast bowlers but it is still possible to generate a lot of pace and as the temperatures and humidity go up, significant swing is also possible. Wrist spinners seem to get more turn than finger spinners, sometimes dramatically so. Due to the artifical lighting it is sometimes tricky to pick out yorkers and slower balls. Given the confines of the place fielding is not really an issue except to say that the floor is lightnening quick. [Anton]
Facilities: Drinks machines, washrooms and toilets available at the venue. There’s also a big supermarket next door.
